GENERAL GUIDELINES

All solid waste materials must be placed at the curb for collection by 6:00am the day of your scheduled collection, but not before 6:00pm the day before your pick-up. We cannot guarantee a specific time the driver will be at your home, please note the collection time may change from the current provider with Flood Brothers Disposal. New service schedule will be Tuesday through Friday.

REFUSE

Flood Brothers Disposal will provide each single-family home weekly collection. Residents will retain the existing 95-gallon two-wheeled refuse carts. Additional trash is accepted that is containerized, not weighing more than 50-pounds per can or exceeding 35-gallons. Additional refuse carts are available for rental for a monthly fee of $3.00 billed directly from Flood Brothers Disposal.

RECYCLING

Residents will retain the existing 65-gallon two-wheeled recycling carts. Flood Brothers will allow recycling materials to be comingled (i.e. plastic, glass, metal and paper products mixed together). Additional recycling carts are available for rental for a monthly fee of $3.00 billed directly from Flood Brothers Disposal.

YARD WASTE

Flood Brothers Disposal will provide weekly collection of yard waste from April 1st through December 15th on the same day as refuse and recycling collection each week. Residents will retain the existing 95-gallon two-wheeled yard waste carts. Additional yard waste carts are available for rental for a monthly fee of $3.00 billed directly from Flood Brothers Disposal.

All additional yard waste shall be placed in a plastic or metal container with a tight cover, or a biodegradable Kraft bag, of a size no larger than 35-gallons and not exceeding 50-pounds.

We will accept and collect all bundles of brush or limbs, providing the bundles do not exceed a weight of 50-pounds per bundle, are not more than four-feet long, are not more than two-feet in diameter, do not contain limbs greater than three-inches in diameter and are tied with a material that is accepted at the compost site.

BULK ITEMS

As part of the regularly scheduled refuse collection, Flood Brothers Disposal will collect bulk items each week on refuse collection day at no additional charge for items weighing less than 50-pounds. An example, the following items are considered bulk items: mattresses, box springs, small tables, chairs, and other small furniture. Bulk items weighing more than 50-pounds, please call Flood Brothers Disposal at least 24-hours prior to schedule special pick up.

CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTION

Flood Brothers Disposal will provide a special collection for Christmas trees the entire month of January at no charge.

CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS

Small amounts of “do it yourself” projects will be collected for free. Construction debris cannot exceed five normal refuse containers. Anything greater please call the office to schedule a special collection. Construction debris must be containerized not exceeding 35-gallons in size and 50-pounds in weight. Construction and remodeling debris that cannot be containerized must be securely tied and bundled. Bundles must not exceed 4-feet in length and 50-pounds in weight. Flood Brothers Disposal has roll off dumpsters available for rental for larger volumes of construction debris.

WHITE GOODS

Flood Brothers Disposal will also provide collection services for white good items (i.e., appliances). One-per week on refuse collection day at no charge. Examples shall include refrigerators, dishwashers, water heaters, washers, dryers, etc. Residents will be required to call our office 24-hours prior to collection to schedule pick up.

COLLECTION DAYS

All materials (refuse, recycling, and yard waste) will be collected on the same day, once per week.

Tuesday: Northwest Quadrant (95th North to 87th: Kedzie West to Pulaski)

Wednesday: Northeast Quadrant (95th North to 87th: Kedzie East to Western)

Thursday: Southwest Quadrant (95th South to 103rd: Kedzie West to Pulaski)

Friday: Southeast Quadrant (95th South to 103rd: Kedzie East to Western)

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

If a holiday falls on a weekday or Sunday, (if holiday falls on Sunday, the holiday will be observed on the following Monday) and your regularly scheduled pickup is on or after the holiday, your pickup will be delayed by one day.

BILLING

Billing is administered by the Village. Additional carts and special collections billed by Flood Brothers Disposal.

ELECTRONICS RECYCLING AND HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE

Flood Brothers Disposal will provide weekly collection services for electronic recyclables. Residents are required to call our office 24-hours prior to collection to schedule pick up.

Flood Brothers Disposal requires residents to reach out to our office when possible hazardous waste material may need to be disposed of (i.e., paint, pesticides, poison, cleaning solvents, oil, gasoline and other automotive fluids). Residents will be required to call our office 24-hours prior to collection to schedule pick up. We will work with the residents to find the best solution for disposal with the assistance of Cook County Recycling programs.
