Sammy Dattulo has been doing this for a long time. Early mornings, crowded alleys, and the ever present surprises found in the waste bins are part of the daily grind for any of the more than 115,000 sanitation workers that serve their communities every day.
WTTW Chicago allows us to take a ride with Sammy to show the dangers of what lies inside of the hopper, coupled with a first hand view of the concerns of a family man who gets up every morning and sets those fears aside in order to serve the families of others.
