All refuse and recycling must be placed at the curb or
alley by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
Flood Brothers cannot guarantee a specific collection
time. Your collection day will remain the same, but
the time of day your materials are collected may differ
from your current Lakeshore Recycling collection time.

Flood Bros. Disposal Co. will provide each single-family
with a 95-gallon refuse cart for weekly collection.
Additional carts are available for rental to those
residents that would be interested. Any refuse that
cannot fit into the Flood Bros. issued cart must be
placed in a bag or container not to exceed 35-gallons
or 50lbs. Carts should be placed out curbside by 6am.

As part of your regularly scheduled refuse service,
Flood Brothers will collect one bulk item per week at
no additional charge on your refuse collection day
examples of bulk items include: Mattresses and box
springs, small tables and chairs, couches and other
small household furniture. For bulk items weighing
more than 50 pounds, please contact Flood Brothers
at least 24 hours in advance to determine collection
requirements and to schedule a pickup.

• Items longer than five feet in length / Items weighing more than 50 pounds / Rocks, concrete and construction materials including roofing materials and lumber
• Large appliances such as freezers, refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, dryers, etc. even if broken up, cut up, crushed or flattened / Any type of metal post, pipe, swing set, antenna, etc. / Electronic waste, or e-waste such as computer equipment, televisions, etc.

Flood Brothers Disposal Co. will provide weekly collection
to each single-family. We will provide 65-gallon
recycling carts. Additional carts are available for rental
to those residents that would be interested. Carts
should be placed out curbside by 6am.
Flood Bros. will allow recycling materials to be comingled (i.e. plastic, glass, metal and paper products
mixed together). There is no limit to the number of
recycling bins or to the quantity of recyclables that
a household may place at the curb for collection.
Residents have the right to set out recycling bins
which are clearly marked for recycling collection and
do not exceed 35 gallons or 50lbs. Flood Bros. Disposal
Co. will collect from all the recycling bins that have
been placed at the curb for collection.

Flood Bros. Disposal Co. will provide weekly collection
of yard waste. All yard waste shall be placed in a
plastic or metal container with a tight cover, or a
biodegradable Kraft bag, of a size no larger than 35
gallons and not exceeding 50lbs with affixed yard
waste sticker.
Flood Bros. Disposal Co. will provide yard waste
collection from April 1st and ending December 31st
on the same day as refuse and recycling collection
each week.
There shall be no limit on the number of containers
placed out for collection by a given household with
affixed yard waste sticker per container. We will accept
and collect all bundles of brush or limbs, providing
the bundles do not exceed a weight of fifty (50)
pounds per bundle, are not more than four (4) feet
long, are not more than two (2) feet in diameter, do
not contain limbs greater than three (3) inches in
diameter and are tied with a material that is accepted
at the compost site.
95-gallon carts are available for rental for those
residents that would be interested. Monthly rental rate
would apply

Flood Bros. Disposal Co. will also provide collection
services for one white good item (i.e. appliances)
per week. Examples shall include refrigerators,
dish washers, water heaters, washers, dryers, etc.
Appliances: refrigerator, freezer, air conditioner,
dishwasher, hot water heater, etc. We ask that you
remove the doors from any refrigerator and freezer.
After the items are collected, Freon is safely
removed (if present) and appliances are recycled.
Appliances must be empty. Residents will be asked
to call our office 24 hours prior to collection to
schedule the pickup

Flood Brothers will collect Christmas trees during the
first two weeks in January . Please remove all
decorations, lights, ornaments, tinsel, stands and other
materials before placing your tree out for collection.

Flood Bros. Disposal Co. would inform residents to
reach out to our office when possible hazardous waste
material may need to be disposed of. We will work with
the residents to find the best solution for disposal with
the assistance of Cook County Recycling programs.

Residents will have the ability to dispose of household
do-it-yourself project waste . Additional charges may
apply for debris. Residents will be asked to call our
office 24 hours prior to collection to schedule the
pickup. Flood Bros. has roll off dumpsters available for
larger projects.

Flood Bros. Disposal Co. would inform residents to
reach out to our office when possible electronic waste
material may need to be disposed of. We will work with
the residents to find the best solution for disposal with
the assistance of Cook County Recycling programs.
