Holidays
If a holiday falls on a weekday or a Sunday, and your regularly scheduled pickup is on or after the holiday, your pickup will be delayed by one day. Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
Flood Brothers will not collect on the following holidays:
- New Years's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Service Details
All refuse and recycling must be placed at the curb or
alley by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
Flood Brothers cannot guarantee a specific collection
time. All materials (refuse, recycling and yard waste) will be
collected on the same day, once per week on
Wednesday
Flood Bros. Disposal Co. will provide each single family with a 95-gallon refuse cart for weekly collection. Additional carts are available for rental to those residents that would be interested. Any refuse
that cannot fit into the Flood Bros. issued cart must be
placed in a bag or container not to exceed 35-gallons
or 50lbs. Carts should be placed out curbside by 6am.
Large item pickup with continue to occur twice per year. The next date will be Wednesday, October 7th.
Flood Bros. Disposal Co. will provide weekly collection
to each single-family. We will provide 95-gallon
recycling carts. Additional carts are available for rental
to those residents that would be interested. Carts
should be placed out curbside by 6am. Flood Bros. will allow recycling materials to be comingled (i.e. plastic, glass, metal and paper products
mixed together). There is no limit to the number of
recycling bins or to the quantity of recyclables that
a household may place at the curb for collection.
Residents have the right to set out recycling bins
which are clearly marked for recycling collection and
do not exceed 35 gallons or 50lbs. Flood Bros.
Disposal Co. will collect from all the recycling bins that
have been placed at the curb for collection
Flood Bros. Disposal Co. will provide weekly collection
of yard waste. 95-gallon carts are available for rental
for those residents that would be interested. Monthly
rental rate would apply.
Flood Bros. Disposal Co. will provide yard waste
collection from April 1st and ending November 30th
on the same day as refuse and recycling collection
each week.
All yard waste shall be placed in a plastic or metal
container with a tight cover, or a biodegradable Kraft
bag, of a size no larger than 35 gallons and not
exceeding 50lbs or a Flood Bros. issued yard
waste cart. There shall be no limit on the number of containers
placed out for collection by a given household. We
will accept and collect all bundles of brush or limbs,
providing the bundles do not exceed a weight of fifty
(50) pounds per bundle, are not more than four (4)
feet long, are not more than two (2) feet in diameter,
do not contain limbs greater than three (3) inches in
diameter and are tied with a material that is accepted
at the compost site.
Flood Bros. Disposal Co. will also provide collection
services for one white good item (i.e. appliances)
per week. Examples shall include refrigerators,
dish washers, water heaters, washers, dryers, etc.
Appliances: refrigerator, freezer, air conditioner,
dishwasher, hot water heater, etc. We ask that you
remove the doors from any refrigerator and freezer.
After the items are collected, Freon is safely
removed (if present) and appliances are recycled.
Appliances must be empty. Residents are asked to call Rosemont Public Works at least 24 hours prior to collection to schedule pickup.
Flood Bros. Disposal Co. will provide a special collection for Christmas trees during January.
Flood Bros. Disposal Co. would inform residents to
reach out to our office when possible hazardous waste
material may need to be disposed of. We will work with
the residents to find the best solution for disposal with
the assistance of Cook County Recycling programs.
Residents will have the ability to dispose of household
do-it-yourself project waste . Additional charges may
apply for debris. Residents will be asked to call our
office 24 hours prior to collection to schedule the
pickup. Flood Bros. has roll off dumpsters available for
larger projects.
Flood Bros. Disposal Co. would inform residents to
reach out to our office when possible electronic waste
material may need to be disposed of. We will work with
the residents to find the best solution for disposal with
the assistance of Cook County Recycling programs.

Vacation Policy:
Residents are required to notify Flood Brothers prior to going on vacation. There is a 30 day minimum and no maximum (within one calendar year) in order to receive credit. Residents must supply a start and return date prior to their departure. Any balance must be paid in full before vacation status is applied. Credit will be applied upon return. No credit will be issued if Flood Bros Disposal is notified after the fact.
