Residential Truck Pic Riverside

All items for collection must be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m

Service Days are Monday through Thursdays, with specific service maps are available on the right side of this page.  We invite you to follow #FloodBrothersDisposal on social media for up to the minute information about changes in service schedules or weather related delays.

Refuse/Garbage Collection

Flood Brothers offers refuse cart service plan options.  Available refuse cart sizes are 95, 65 and 35 gallons.  Under all three of these options, refuse will be collected with no need to have a refuse bag attached.  Each additional container of refuse will be required to have a prepaid refuse bag attached in order to be collected.  Additional carts are available from Flood Brothers for an added rental cost, and would eliminate the need for residents to place extra materials in a pre-paid refuse bag.  Please call the office for more details.

Recycling Collection

A 65-gallon recycling cart will be provided for residents subscribing to any of the refuse cart  plans.  Additional carts are available upon request for a fee.  All equipment will be owned and maintained by Flood Brothers.

Recyclables are collected on your pickup day and must contain only acceptable items to be recycled.  Recyclables that contain regular household waste will not be collected. Recyclable materials do not need to be separated, only rinsed to remove food residue prior to pickup.  We recommend that all products are flattened and all labels, caps and lids are removed.  Flood Brothers will collect reycling curbside using the single stream process.  There is no limit to the number of recycling bins or to the quantity of recyclables that a household may put on the curb for collection.  Residents may set out recycling bins which are clearly marked for recycling collection and do not exceed 35-gallons or 50lbs.  Please place items loose in the cart, not inside of paper or plastic bags.  A complete list of acceptable and unacceptable recyclables can be found here.

Yard Waste Collection

Yard Waste Collection takes place on the same day as trash and recycling pickups, beginning the first full service week in April and ending the final service week of November.

Flood Brothers will provide weekly collection of an unlimited amount of yard waste properly placed for collection at each location.  All single-family customers with an active refuse account are eligible for the yard waste program.  Residents are to use Kraft paper bags, 33 gallon containers, or in bundles.  Residents may also call Flood Brothers if they prefer to use a 95-gallon container for yard waste.  Residents may place yard waste made up of grass clippings, bundled branches, brush and garden materials (such as plants, flowers, weeds, vines, bark pieces, pine cones, etc.) in waterproof yard waste paper bags or in a metal or plastic waste container with tight cover no larger than 33-gallons, and not weighing more than 50 pounds.  Residents living in an HOA development that opts out will not receive seasonal yard waste collection.

E-Waste (Electronic) Collection

Electronic waste, from computers to TVs, contain toxic materials such as lead, chromium, cadmium, mercury, beryllium, nickel, zinc and other potentially harmful chemicals. The EPA warns when electronics that contain these materials are not recycled or are not disposed of properly, the hazardous chemicals can contaminate the ground water and present additional environmental concerns. Illinois State Law bans electronic waste in landfills. Under this state law, electronic waste cannot be collected with household refuse/waste.
